At 7:49 on April 14, 2010, Grade 7.1 earthquake happened in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, resulting in the death of more than one thousand persons. When disaster struck, help came from all sides. On April 16, Beijing Head Office issued the notice to call upon all colleagues to make donation to the persons in the disaster-stricken area, which was answered immediately by contributing their loving care. Managing Director Edwardo Erni was in Shanghai City at that time, expressing his wish by email for his personal donation of RMB 5,000. Finally, Beijing Head Office and Beijing Branch donated RMB 22,165, and Eastern Region also donated totally RMB 5,800 to southwestern China drought region and Yushu disaster-stricken area for two times.
