Kunshan Logistics Center Breaks Ground

On 22 May 2009, Groundbreaking of Kerry Kunshan Logistics Center was celebrated at a ceremony in Qiandeng Town, Kunshan City. Department leaders from Kunshan City and Qiandeng Town got together with Edwardo Erni, Managing Director of KEAS, Wu Zhefu and Song Zhongyue, Group Director of Corporate Development were also there with other company leaders and important guests to celebrate earth breaking of the new Logistics Center.

At the launch ceremony, Edwardo Erni delivered the opening speech and introduced the company’s current situation and development scale of KLN and KEAS to the distinguished guests, explaining the motivations of investing in Kunshan City.

He said the geographical advantages and convenient traffic conditions in Kunshan City were the main reasons attracting our investment. We have invested more than HKD$ 100 million in Kerry Kunshan Logistics Center Project (Phases I and II; Phase I covers 50 mu (nb: 1 hectare=15 mu). Phase I will build a modern multifunctional logistics center of about 15,000 m2, expected to be up and running by the Second Quarter of 2010. By that time, Kerry Kunshan Centre will become one of the most important logistics distribution and warehousing bases for KEAS in East China.
